Dr. Yinshi Ren, Principal Investigator

Yinshi Ren, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a Principal Investigator at Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. He is also a faculty member in the Biomedical Engineering graduate program at UTSW. Dr. Ren has authored over 40 peer reviewed publications and book chapters in skeletal biology, with a research focus on osteonecrosis, bone regeneration, and musculoskeletal disease. His research is supported by NIH funding, including R01 and P30 mechanisms, as well as foundation and institutional grants from Scottish Rite. He serves on NIH and foundation study sections and contributes to the scientific community through editorial activities and service on national and international committees. Dr. Ren is the recipient of multiple competitive research awards, including the Hatton Award from the American Association for Dental Research, the President Award from the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research, and the New Investigator Recognition Award from the Orthopaedic Research Society.
